Health Lesson #3 (Natural Remidies)

SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2008 06:20 PM

I got this picture from Heather Mills' website where she talks about her success story applying the natural remedy that they taught her while she was at Hippocrates. She healed her infection without medicine. I tell more of her story below.

Hippocrates Lesson #3
Natural Remedies

Itching and bug bites (mosquito and bee) – neem cream

Sea Salt bath (Epsom salt) You can get this anywhere. CVS, Wallgreens or the grocery store. These soaks are good to relieve chicken pox. Adding 1 lb of baking soda really helps draw out toxins of the body.

Ginger Bath – This type of bath is used to break a fever. Get ground (powder form) ginger from a health food store. Put a lot of ginger in a really hot bath and soak for 15 min. You are expected to keep sweating after the bath too so they say to stay in the bathroom with the towel. I was told this works amazing. Keep hydrated while doing this. Lemonade is a great drink to hydrate. (One fresh squeezed lemon, water and 10 drops of Stevia or some Agave Nectar to sweeten.)

Garlic Oil – This will heal any open wound. Gets rid of infection.
Good story about garlic oil– Heather Mills (Paul McCartney’s ex) had some major infections on her leg when it had to be amputated. She was in the hospital for months and months on antibiotics and nothing would get rid of the infection. So, Heather went to Hippocrates to heal herself and she used the garlic oil to get rid of the infection and it was gone in 4 days. Check out her website where she talks about how she healed herself at Hippocrates. http://www.heathermills.org/health.php Go to the bottom and click on Heather Talks Health 1994. She talks about Hippocrates and the diet for about 5 minutes on a show.
Anyway, the way you do the garlic is you make the solution 1/3 pressed garlic and 2/3 olive oil. You have to let it sit for ½ hour before you use it. This batch will last for 4 days. You dip guaze in the mixture and you wrap it on the wound. Keep the press on for 12 hours. Try not to even wash because garlic is a natural antibiotic.

Aloe – good for wounds and burns as most people know. It’s always good to have an aloe plant in your house for use. You can also juice aloe and it’s good for you but I don’t know what it tastes like. I’m sticking to wheatgrass.

Cayenne – Stops external bleeding. After you stop the bleeding use the garlic oil.

Detox your liver – rub castor oil over where your liver is. Put a towel over the spot and then put a hot water bottle over the towel (or something hot) This helps pull toxins out from the liver

Tiger Balm – good for bruises and arthritis

Exhilirate – helps reduce anxiety and helps you sleep better. I need to look into where to get this because I need it. Melatonin (the hormone that goes up when you sleep) supplements also helps you to sleep, but you should only take this every other day if you do use it.

SHTP – helps your body make more serotonin so you can make more melatonin

Colds and flu – Goldenseal and Echinacea – Six drops of each in water

Earache – Garlic oil. Prepare 1 part crushed garlic and 1 part olive oil. Saturate cotton ball and place into ear canal.

Wheatgrass – Drink 2-4 oz daily for general detoxification. Massage 6oz in your scalp and hair to combat dandruff and a dry or oily scalp. If you have a cut you can juice the wheatgrass, dip the pulp in the wheatgrass juice, put over affected area and secure with a bandage.

Okay, that’s all I think I got for now on natural remedies. It is good to know some natural alternatives.
Hope you all enjoy!!

Yesterday I went on a 20 mile bike ride with my brother Taylor and my sister Marina. Today Kevin and I went on a different trail and did about 14 miles. Rochester and Rochester Hills have a lot of biking trails. I love it. Weather in Michigan had been beautiful. I love it here in the summer.
